4/30/15

This Week:

We had so much fun this past weekend at Disney World we decided to go again;)  Congrats to an AMAZING job by our Omega, Immortals & Zeta athletes this past weekend at the 2015 Cheerleading Worlds!  Good luck to Omicron & Kappa athletes as they travel to Orlando this weekend for The Summit 2015!

Thanks to the many fans and family members who came out to support both the Worlds & Summit Send Off’s!  It was truly special to see so much love and support for our athletes!

Finally mark your calendars, the End of Season Awards Banquet will be Tuesday, May 26th.  More information will be out soon!

“That’s what family does”:

A heartwarming shout out to our Beta athletes for 2 special things they did recently.  First off, they made “Good Luck” signs for all of our Worlds athletes this past weekend.

They also made a decision as athletes to instead of receiving a team gift with the allocated boosters money, to share that with the families attending the post season for the program…when asked why, they said “cause that’s what family does”.  Simply wonderful!!

You should ALWAYS listen to your mother!:

Life coach first, cheer coach second… how can we tell our athletes that family is important and then take away the opportunity for them to be with theirs on an important day?  We can’t, so we’ve decided to NOT have practices on Sunday, May 10th for Mother’s Day.

Figuring most will Mom’s will have a nice brunch and morning with their families, we are hosting an Open Gym for our All Star Athletes ONLY from 3:30-5:30pm that day.  Please note the Front Desk will NOT be open on this day.

Worlds Recap:

Overall it was an amazing weekend for the CW Family down in Disney.  First, Immortals started the weekend of competition with some moments of brilliance, but ultimately had too many deductions to advance on in the competition.  With a Raw Score that would have placed them 11th in the U.S. Trials, we couldn’t be more proud of a first year Worlds team.

Zeta went next, and left to a standing ovation and not a dry eye in the house.  What a great experience for those athletes and families to feel the love and support from not only our Cheer World, but THE Cheer World!!!  The applause was one of the loudest roars from the crowd all weekend.

Finally, Omega did a phenomenal job placing 29th in the World!  Out of just over 100 teams in the division (and that’s just who qualified) Omega proved to be one of the top teams.  Making the climb the last 3 years from 82nd (2013) to 47th (2014) to 29th (2015), the future is looking brighter and brighter for this team!
