This is the information for all Delta athletes, families & fans, about The Summit, May 3-4 2014 in Orlando, Florida.



Athlete Expectations:


All Cheer World athletes will be required to arrive by Friday evening, May 2nd. The competition begins Saturday, May 3rd and goes until Sunday, May 4th. Athletes can begin travel home Monday, May 5th.


The Cheer World staff wants to make clear that this is NOT A VACATION. We will have strict guidelines that our athletes must follow, including Team Days, Team Events, Practices, and Competing.


There will be a Delta Team Meeting Friday, May 2nd at 8:00 pm at the Resort.  Any athlete who is in by that time should attend this meeting/practice.  If a family is still traveling and unable to make that time, we are ok with that.



The 2014 Cheerleading Summit General Description:


The 2014 Cheerleading Summit is a 2 day competition:


All divisions with 10 or less teams in Semi Finals will have 5 teams advance to finals.

All divisions with 11-19 teams in Semi Finals will have 50% of the division advance to finals.

All divisions with 20 or more teams in Semi Finals will have 10 teams in the division advance to finals.


Saturday, May 3, 2013: Prelims- All teams compete Day 1


Sunday, May 4, 2013: Finals


Performance Order or more specific times are NOT AVAILABLE at this time and Varsity is unable to provide a date when this will be available.


The competition is located at The Walt Disney World Resort ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (subject to change).



Travel Plan:


Airline or Driving Arrangements:

Cheer World will not provide or arrange AIRLINE or DRIVING arrangements to or home from Orlando, FL.  Travel, for both athlete and families, are the SOLE responsibility of the family.





Lodging Expectations:


All Cheer World athletes will be required to stay at Disney’s All Star Resort.  This requires at least one parent to stay at this resort as well.  Extended families may choose to book separate accommodations if they so choose.


The Summit Travel Packages include the following:



Hotel accommodations at Disney’s All Star Resort

Round trip airport transfers (to/from MCO only) provided by Disney’s Magical Express

Walt Disney World PARK HOPPER Pass

Admission into ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Transportation to all events that are directly related with The Summit

All taxes and gratuities

The Registration Deadline is April 11th.  All balances must be paid in full by April 18th to Varsity.


Please note, the associated fees for this registration is dealt with direct through Varsity.  Payments will not go through Cheer World for this step in the process.  This is not the Cheer World Post Season Fee.



Meal Plan Options:


Varsity & Walt Disney World offer several meal plan options to “add-on” to your athletes package. Planning for some of the athletes meals with these plans is suggested, as it discounts food costs!  A detailed packing list, including needed spending money, will be provided at a later date.





Payment Forms & Options:


There are two sets of fees for The Summit.


The first fee is determined by Varsity with their Summit Travel Packages.  This fee will be finalized per family once the above registration process is complete.  This fee will be payable to Varsity direct.


The second fee will be the CW Post Season Fee.  This covers all coaches expenses, athlete apparel, and World “extras”.  This fee will be $420 per athlete.  This fee will be payable to the Front Desk and through future fundraising efforts.  This will be due by 5/1.  Please CLICK HERE to fill out payment intentions form.  This form needs to be filled out by Friday, 4/11.
