Weekly Reader 3/18/16

Hello Cheer World Families,

This Week:

Safe travels to families traveling to Pittsburgh on Saturday for the Encore event.  Please CLICK HERE for Report & Competition Times.

April 15th, 2016 we wanted to make sure everyone has paid their taxes…well, not really….BUT we don’t want you to know about 2 exciting events taking place that evening.  First is MINI-MANIA, and opportunity for Alpha, Lambda & Delta athletes to invite their friends, siblings or anyone they want to the gym for some open gym style fun, along with special performances from each team.

Following that, families should make their way to St John’s Church in Parma to watch a “JD Smooth” ( a Cheer World dad) wrestle “Matt Cross” (former GW gymnast).  Bell time is at 7:45 below, and proceeds will help FUNdraise for Worlds & Summit expenses!  We don’t want to forget to mention that AJ will be the special guest ref for the match.  So break out your championship belts, and jump from the high rope, cause this is going to be a FUN event!

We have adjusted the previously communicated practice times for the week of ACP (March 28th – March 31st).  These tandem practices are a way to increase excitement, teamwork, and make up for the missed practice on Easter while preparing for our last regular season competition!  We’ve adjusted the times to better work around crossover, coaches conflicts and keep kids fresh.

Tuesday –

Delta and Iota: 4:30- 6:30

Omicron and Epsilon: 6:30-8:30

Wednesday –

Kappa and Lambda: 4:30-6:30

omicron and epsilon: 6:30- 8:00

Omega- 7:30-9:30

Thursday –

Kappa and Lambda- 5:00-6:30

Iota and Delta- 6:30-8:00

Looking for some help:

Would you like to help with the Easter Egg hunt?  We would love some CW athletes to help set up and coordinate the Easter Egg hunt.  The time commitment would be from 11:30am – 12:30pm on Saturday, March 26.  This is a fun opportunity to earn service hours.   Please email marketing@cheerworldallstars.com if you would like to help.  Thank you.

Tryouts for 2016-2017: (REMINDER)

Registration is NOW OPEN for the upcoming All Star season!

The coaching staff and program is excited to announce that we have changed the evaluation process from seasons past.  We have moved to and “Individual Evaluation” vs the large group evaluation from years past.  This will provide more opportunity for your athlete to really show where they are in skill progressions.

We also have two Tryout Prep “Get It” Clinics scheduled.  These clinics will be a great opportunity for your athlete(s) to work on their tumbling and jump skills, along with instruction on the Tryout Dance.  These are not required to attend and we will post a video of the Tryout Dance in Mid April.

For more information and to register, please visit our Tryouts webpage.

Fundraisers for Post Season: (REMINDER)

Please consider supporting the CW Family & helping your fellow teams fundraise as they head to Worlds and Summit in just a few short weeks!!  Thank you very much!!

Class Pass Adjustment: (REMINDER)

Please note that the week of March, 28th there will be no Class Pass on that Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday due to the added team practice.

Mark your Calendar’s: (FINAL REMINDER)

On Saturday, March 26th we will host our Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Open Gym! We know some of our athletes have “outgrown” the idea of an Egg Hunt, but anyone can attend the Open Gym. Help spread the word for this great family focused event. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
