Weekly Reader 7/17/15

Hello Cheer World Families,

This Week:

We are one week away from the Re-Scheduled Fam Jam!!  At this point, we are EXTREMELY low on RSVP’s for attending guests & parent volunteers.  Please CLICK HERE to rsvp and or sign up to help today.  This is our kick off FAMILY event, and we want/encourage the majority of our families to attend.  If RSVP #’s don’t increase over the weekend, we may not host the event.

Don’t miss out on tonights Flippin’ Friday!! Bring your athlete(s) and their friends to a fun Open Gym night for only $10, 5:00-7:00 pm.

Parents of our “younger” athletes…please remind/encourage your athlete(s) to place their belongings in the gym cubbies during practices throughout the season.  Many of our younger kids leave their belongings in the lobby vs putting them in cubbies.  For safety and cleanliness reasons, we do not want them doing that.  We appreciate your cooperation on this!

Practice Wear:

The majority of our athletes have received their practice wear this past week.  Please stop by the Front Desk to pick your athlete(s) gear up if you have done so yet.

We have tried contacting athletes who were NOT at practices this last week to confirm sizes.  If you have not notified the Front Desk yet of your athlete(s) sizes, please do so by Tuesday, 7/21.

We’ve also had a lot of questions on when the athletes are to wear their new practice gear.  They should wear them: 1) during any scheduled choreography & stunt camps 2) Both practices the week of any competition (including the Showcase). 3) Any other practice they want, but it’s only required for what’s stated above.

Save the Date:

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 16th for the first CW Boosters fall Cheer Camp!  Just like our Presidents Day Camp, this is a fabulous fundraiser for the CW Booster Club. This is also a great for opportunity for our older All Star athletes to instruct and run this day camp.  More information will be out soon from the Boosters!

Competition & Showcase Schedule:

We are excited to release the competition schedule for the upcoming season.  Please CLICK HERE to view, or you can always find on our website under 2015-2016 Team Information.

Please know that Cheer World wants to keep this schedule as is, but are at the mercy of event producers and any adjustments they make.  Any adjustments/revisions will be communicated asap if needed.

You will be receiving all Hotel & travel information in a subsequent email.

Finally, as a reminder to our policies.  Athletes are expected to attend EVERY SCHEDULED COMPETITION their team is attending.

Spring Break VS Cheerleading: (FINAL REMINDER)

Although we are only in summer, we know many of you plan far in advance the next time you can escape to somewhere a little more tropical than the shores of Lake Erie.  We wanted to let you know in plenty of time in advance about potential issues that we want to avoid.

Each season, the peak of our Nationals Season and/or during Post Season practices, athletes are missing for Spring Break.  This season, our Final regular season event will take place the weekend following the majority of our athlete(s) Spring Break.  Please be aware that if an athlete misses both practices the week of a competition, they will not be permitted to compete in that event.

The last thing we want is to remove an athlete from a routine, but at the end of the day the policies exist to ensure an opportunity for the team to have a safe and successful experience.
